Iteration-PW lteration-PW
The Iteration-PW petawatt laser system delivers peak pulse power of 1PW (10^15 W), pulse energy of 25J and pulse width of 25fs to generate electromagnetic fields with ultrahigh peak power. A dual-CPA architecture provides pulse contrast up to 10^10. Optimized layout gives a footprint of only 16.7m², including 12m² for the Ti:sapphire laser and 4.4m² for the pump source, making it an ultracompact PW system worldwide. Numerous highly stable integrated mechanical supports and Triones flexure mirror mounts address stability problems of large laser facilities and provide industrial-grade reliability. Its extreme peak electric-field power makes it an ideal source for proton acceleration and strong-field physics.
