The PP-10G module consists of a low capacitance photo-detector and a low noise GaAs trans-impedance amplifier in an hermetic package with a connectorized single-mode fiber pigtail and a 50 ohms SMA electrical output.

The counter provides excellent room-temperature number resolution, a broad photon-flux dynamic range and nanosecond response. Applications include fluorescence, nuclear-radiation detection, astronomy, biomedicine, laser ranging and quantum information, particularly short-pulse weak-light detection and photon-number resolution.
