This APD photodiode series uses high-performance APD semiconductor chips. The temperature-control circuitry and butterfly package with a built-in thermoelectric cooler keep the APD chip stable across ambient temperatures, greatly simplifying APD power-supply and weak-signal detection circuitry.

This series uses pulsed-laser Doppler shifts and backscatter from atmospheric aerosols, including dust, salt crystals, cloud/fog droplets and pollutants, to continuously measure wind speed, direction and three-dimensional profiles. It provides real-time, high-resolution and accurate wind-field data. A compact all-fiber source supports retrieval of wind direction, speed and shear at different heights within 15000m. Reliable, accurate measurements serve airports, wind energy, meteorology, climate and atmospheric research, and low/mid-altitude wind sensing.
