LN15-22CFH Lithium Niobate Integrated Optical Multi-Function Chip
On the polished surface of a lithium niobate (LiNbO₃) crystal, a low-loss single-polarization Y-branch pattern is fabricated using selective proton exchange to achieve optical splitting/combining and polarizing/analyzing functions. Electrodes are fabricated on both arms of the branch; externally applied electrical signals can independently adjust the phase of light transmitted through the two branch waveguides, enabling the device to perform signal processing. The end face of the optical fiber and the end face of the LiNbO₃ chip adopt an angled coupling technique to reduce optical back-reflection at the interface and decrease residual intensity modulation. The polarization-maintaining fiber pigtail is precisely aligned to the axis to reduce polarization crosstalk in the pigtail.
