Ce:LYSO
Since the early 2000s, Ce:LYSO has become the most commonly used scintillator in PET detector-design research because it provides a good compromise among the aforementioned factors, alongside the continuing need for better image quality, shorter scan times, and lower radiation doses. Continuing research in positron emission tomography (PET) has involved patients. PET scanner design is particularly challenging because it must preserve high spatial resolution, high sensitivity, high count-rate capability, and good energy and timing resolution. Scintillators with fast decay times have long been sought as radiation-detection materials for high-energy physics experiments, nuclear physics, and positron emission tomography. They benefit nanosecond and subnanosecond high-count-rate and timing-resolution applications. Ce:LYSO scintillation crystal—a nonhygroscopic, high-performance scintillator. In recent years, cerium-doped LYSO crystals coupled to SiPMs have been widely used in PET systems with good results. Ce:LYSO is an inorganic scintillation crystal with good overall performance, a short luminescence decay time, high light yield, strong γ-ray stopping power, stable physical and chemical properties, and no deliquescence in air. It is widely used in nuclear medical imaging, nuclear radiation measurement, and security inspection. Ce:LYSO is a mixed LSO/YSO nonhygroscopic crystal with high density (7.1,10%Y), high light output (26000-30000ph/MeV), high energy resolution (approximately 10%), and a short decay time (40ns). We are committed to providing high-performance scintillation crystals to our customers.
