CdWO₄
CdWO₄ crystals are core components of nuclear detection instruments, γ cameras, XCT tomographic imagers and other optoelectronic detection equipment. Their widespread use has greatly improved the performance of medical XCT equipment and the efficiency of security equipment. We customize high-performance CdWO₄ crystals to customers' specific requirements. CdWO₄ — a scintillation crystal with high light-emission efficiency. CdWO₄ single crystals belong to the monoclinic crystal system and have a wolframite-type structure, with good overall scintillation performance. Compared with other inorganic scintillation crystals, they offer higher light-emission efficiency, shorter afterglow, a larger X-ray absorption coefficient, stronger resistance to radiation damage, higher material density and no hygroscopicity. These scintillation properties support widespread use in nuclear medical imaging, security inspection, industrial computed tomography (CT), oil well logging and high-energy physics. They are particularly important in medical X-ray CT and container inspection systems.
