The DLP4500 optogenetic patterned illumination module is designed for microscopy and developed around a DMD. It supports single-color or multicolor LED sources through a liquid light guide input and simultaneously projects accurately positioned, customized illumination patterns, with selectable size, position and shape, onto multiple regions. Applications in biology and materials include wavefront shaping, super-resolution, photocuring, photocatalysis, photostimulation, light-driven actuation, optogenetics, photoactivation and photoconversion. The highly integrated module is easy to install and compatible with commercial microscopes from olympus, Nikon and other manufacturers. In-house software provides visual pattern generation and editing, allowing patterns to be generated quickly and flexibly as planned in two-dimensional space and over time.
