Power jumpers are divided, according to the color marking method, into color-coded power jumpers, full-color power jumpers, and color-striped power jumpers. The color-coded power jumper is made by heat-shrinking heat-shrink tubing in three colors—red, yellow, and green—onto the CC2-1000 optical cable to produce the power jumper required by the customer; this jumper has a complex production process, a high defect rate, and is prone to causing damage to the optical cable; the optical fiber of the full-color power jumper is completely covered with PE sheathing in three colors—red, yellow, and green—which easily causes light interference and affects signal transmission. Based on the shortcomings of the above two types of power jumpers, Sichuan Huiyuan Plastic Optical Fiber Co., Ltd. developed a color-striped plastic optical cable and applied for patent protection; the power jumper made from it has a simple process, a low defect rate, is easy to identify, does not produce light interference, and provides stable and reliable signal transmission.

Sichuan Huiyuan Plastic Optical Fiber Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise long dedicated to the R&D, production, and sales of low-loss PMMA plastic optical fibers, optical cables, and their application products.
Since 2000, the company has independently developed optical fiber raw materials, manufacturing equipment, and production processes. In 2003, it became the first in China to achieve mass production of low-loss PMMA plastic optical fibers, breaking foreign monopolies and filling a domestic gap. On this basis, the company undertook and completed science and technology tackling tasks assigned by the Ministry of Science and Technology and an industrialization upgrading project of the National Development and Reform Commission. It successfully achieved independent production of PMMA core materials and fluororesin cladding materials for plastic optical fibers, with fiber attenuation ≤0.2 dB/m, reaching the advanced level of similar international products.
To promote the development of China's plastic optical fiber industry, in 2004 the company was authorized by the Ministry of Information Industry to lead the formulation of the national communication industry standard "Plastic Optical Fiber for Communication" (YD/T 1447-2006). It also participated in the formulation of the national standard "Technical Specification for Plastic Optical Fiber Power Information Transmission System — Part 3: Optical Transceiver Module."
In 2009, with approval from the National Development and Reform Commission, the company established the "National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Preparation and Application of Plastic Optical Fiber," a national-level plastic optical fiber engineering laboratory authorized by the NDRC. In 2014, it established the Chengdu Academician (Expert) Innovation Workstation.
With leading technology, stable product quality, a rich product series, and efficient sales services, the company has expanded its market to all provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across China as well as dozens of countries and regions overseas, establishing a comprehensive marketing network system. It is a leader in China's plastic optical fiber industry.
