Corner cube prism
A corner cube prism consists of three mutually perpendicular right-angle faces and one hypotenuse face. Its shape is equivalent to a tetrahedron cut at a certain angle from the corner of a cubic optical glass. If the three right-angle faces are all exactly 90°, light entering through the hypotenuse face is reflected sequentially by the three right-angle faces and then exits along the original optical path direction. Because of the characteristics of the corner cube prism, it is not only used in military and aerospace applications, but also widely used in distance surveying, optical cooperative targets, and as mirrors for laser interferometers.
