Compared with LiNbO3 crystal, MgO:LiNbO3 has unique advantages in NCPM frequency doubling, frequency mixing and optical parametric oscillation applications in Nd-doped lasers. Frequency-doubling efficiencies of over 65% and 45% can be obtained in pulsed and CW Nd:YAG lasers respectively. Main characteristics: high damage threshold, non-critical phase matching at room temperature, wide transmission range, excellent electro-optic and nonlinear properties, and excellent mechanical and chemical properties.
