plano-convex lens
Features: Plano-convex lenses have a positive focal length. These lenses are used to converge parallel light, or to convert a point light source into parallel light. To reduce spherical aberration, when a plano-convex lens is used to focus a collimated beam, the beam should be incident on the curved surface of the lens; when used to collimate a point source, the beam is incident on the flat surface.
