Sunlight Guiding Illumination System
The solar fiber-optic lighting system consists of an outdoor main unit, fiber-optic cables and indoor fiber-optic luminaires. The main unit must be installed outdoors where sunlight is abundant, to track and collect sunlight. The fiber-optic cables efficiently transmit the sunlight collected by the main unit into the building, where indoor luminaires provide illumination. The outdoor main unit is the principal part of the system, mainly composed of an optical collection lens assembly, solar tracking sensors, a high-precision mechanical platform and an automatic tracking system. The automatic tracking system starts working after sunrise; after sunset, the system resets and enters sleep mode. In rainy, cloudy or hazy weather, and after external power-off and restart, the system maintains automatic tracking, and can automatically adjust the solar tracking trajectory according to the day/night times of the four seasons and the geographic location.
