The Santec OVA-100 Optical Variable Attenuator enables precise optical power control featuring high accuracy and superior repeatability, and can be used as a benchtop or rackmount instrument. It offers ±0.01dB repeatability and a dynamic range of up to 100dB depending on the model configuration. The OVA-100 can be controlled via the front panel 5-inch touch screen, or remotely via USB and Ethernet. It features a wide wavelength range: the single-mode and Panda PM attenuators cover 1200-1700nm, while the multimode versions cover 750-1700nm. An optional power monitoring PD can be added to read the power output of the instrument, and the power leveling setting automatically adjusts the attenuation for a constant selectable power level. The instrument is available with single-mode 9μm, Panda PM, HI1060, and multimode 50μm and 62.5μm fiber types, with 1, 2 or 4 attenuator modules in 1U or 2U half-rack chassis.

Overview

The Santec OVA-100 Optical Variable Attenuator enables precise optical power control featuring high accuracy and superior repeatability, and can be used as a benchtop or rackmount instrument. It offers ±0.01dB repeatability and a dynamic range of up to 100dB depending on the model configuration. The OVA-100 can be controlled via the front panel 5-inch touch screen, or remotely via USB and Ethernet.
