The NeoPhotonics 400Gbps PM-QPSK high-speed coherent receiver/detector integrates an optical hybrid and four 40GHz high-bandwidth balanced detectors in an ultracompact package. It supports DP-QPSK/16QAM in 400Gbps coherent transmission, with C- or L-band options. The company supplies the 400Gbsp receiver with a complete evaluation board and software for convenient research and development. The NeoPhotonics 600Gbps PM-QPSK high-speed coherent receiver/detector integrates an optical hybrid and four 40GHz high-bandwidth balanced detectors in an ultracompact package. Designed for high baud rate line cards, the NeoPhotonics High Bandwidth Coherent Receiver provides advanced demodulation to analyze the state-of-polarization and optical phase of a phase-modulated signal relative to an externally-supplied optical reference. This enables the recovery of the phase-polarization constellation of 200 Gbps Dual Polarization Quadrature Phase Shift Keyed (DP-DQPSK) format signals as well as 600 Gbps 16-QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) format signals. The High Bandwidth ICR incorporates four balanced photodiodes with four differential linear amplifiers to provide four output channels at 96 GBaud and above. The form factor of the High Bandwidth Coherent Receiver is compliant with Optical Internetworking Forum standard Implementation Agreement for Micro Integrated Intradyne Coherent Receivers; IA # OIF-DPC-MRX-02.0.

The transceiver supports 155Mbps to 1.25Gbps and provides a solution for 1310nm transmission over up to 20 kilometers of single-mode fiber. Subwatt consumption and excellent EMI performance support high port density. It is RoHS compliant and designed and tested to industry safety standards, and is a Class I laser product under US FDA/CDRH and international IEC-60825 standards. The SFP LR connects to a standard 20-contact SFP connector for hot swapping, allowing configuration changes or maintenance by replacing the transceiver without switching off the host. Transmitter and receiver DATA interfaces are internally AC-coupled. An LV-TTL transmitter-disable input and loss-of-signal (LOS) output are provided. A bail latch permits easy module removal and complies with the SFP MSA. A single +3.3V supply powers operation at case temperatures of 0°C to +70°C commercially or -40°C to +85°C industrially. The metal case protects against electromagnetic interference.
