Er:YAG Laser -2940nm-Er:YAG Rod CL-ROD20001
Our Er:YAG crystal rod, also called neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet, has the chemical formula Er:Y₃Al₅O₁₂ and is a laser crystal with good overall performance. It is widely used in plastic surgery and dentistry. The Er:YAG laser crystal is YAG doped with 50% erbium and can generate 2940nm laser light for medical and dental applications. Combining different output wavelengths with Er:YAG yields an excellent laser crystal operating at 2.94μm. This wavelength is the most readily absorbed by water and hydroxyapatite among existing wavelengths and is also regarded as a laser for surface cutting. Er:YAG is a well-known material for medical applications. Er:YAG with a doping concentration of 50% emits at 2940nm, at a water-absorption peak, and is strongly absorbed by water molecules. It features a high doping concentration, excellent optical quality, excellent thermal and optical properties, and high output and damage thresholds. Applications include glaucoma surgery and 2940nm laser penetrating corneal transplantation. Our current projects include a laser blood-sampling device using a structure with coatings on both sides of an Er:YAG rod and end pumping by a xenon lamp. The Er:YAG laser wavelength is an excellent option for improving various skin conditions and signs of aging, including dyspigmentation, actinic photodamage, solar elastosis, acne and traumatic scarring, fine lines, mild to moderate wrinkles, rough skin texture, and skin laxity.
