TeO₂ (tellurium dioxide) is a high-performance acousto-optic crystal material with a high figure of merit. It offers fast response, low drive power, high diffraction efficiency, and stable, reliable performance. It is widely used in acousto-optic deflectors, acousto-optic modulators, acousto-optic harmonic generators, acousto-optic filters, and tunable filters. Acousto-optic devices made from tellurium dioxide can improve resolution by orders of magnitude at the same clear aperture. TeO₂ therefore has broad application prospects as an acousto-optic device material, particularly for acousto-optic modulators and harmonic generators used in optical computing, optical communication, and optical microscopy.
