KTP Nonlinear crystal
Potassium titanyl phosphate (KTiOPO₄, KTP) has a high nonlinear coefficient, approximately 15 times that of KDP, and high thermal conductivity, 2 times that of BNN crystals. It has broad temperature and angular phase-matching acceptance ranges, high gray-track resistance and optical damage threshold, no moisture absorption or deliquescence, and no decomposition below 900℃. It also offers good mechanical properties, an easily polished crystal surface, and small mismatch. Its frequency-doubling efficiency at 1064nm can reach approximately 80%. The crystal can be used to make frequency-doubling, frequency-mixing, electro-optic modulation, optical parametric oscillation, and optical waveguide devices.
