Brewster Window
The Brewster window uses the material's total-reflection properties. At the specified incidence angle, known as the material's Brewster angle, the S-polarized component is partially reflected while the P component is nearly fully transmitted. An optical dome is a lens element with two concentric spherical surfaces. Common materials include K9 glass, fused silica, ZnS and ZnSe, with parallelism tolerance controlled within 2μm. Typical shapes are hemispherical or hyperhemispherical.
