The three-port polarization-maintaining fiber circulator is a multiport nonreciprocal optical device in which light travels in one direction. Signals entering port 1 exit port 2, and signals entering port 2 exit port 3, both with low output loss. Light entering port 2 has high loss toward port 1; light entering port 3 likewise has high loss toward ports 1 and 2. Mchlight produces three-port and four-port fiber circulators at different power levels and wavelengths for fiber lasers, instrumentation, dispersion compensation, fiber sensing, scientific research and other applications.

Overview

The three-port polarization-maintaining fiber circulator is a multiport nonreciprocal optical device in which light travels in one direction. Signals entering port 1 exit port 2, and signals entering port 2 exit port 3, both with low output loss. Light entering port 2 has high loss toward port 1; light entering port 3 likewise has high loss toward ports 1 and 2.
