Undoped YAG Laser Crystal Product Attributes
Undoped YAG Laser Crystal is an excellent material for UV-IR Optical Windows, particularly for high temperature and high energy density application. It's different from Nd:YAG Crystal. The mechanical and chemical stability is comparable to sapphire crystal, but YAG is unique with non-birefringence and available with higher optical homogeneity and surface quality. Up to 3" YAG boule grown by CZ method, as-cut blocks, windows and mirrors are available. Density 4.5g/cm3; Transmission Range 250-5000nm; Melting Point 1970°C; Specific Heat 0.59 W.s/g/K; Thermal Conductivity 14 W/m/K; Thermal Shock Resistance 790 W/m; Thermal Expansion 6.9x10-6/K; dn/dt, at 633nm 7.3x10-6/K-1; Mohs Hardness 8.5; Refractive Index 1.8245 at 0.8mm, 1.8197 at 1.0mm, 1.8121 at 1.4mm. Nd:YVO4 is one of the most promising commercially available diode pumped solid state laser materials. It has high laser induced damage threshold and good mechanical in addition to optical properties. Its large stimulated emission cross-section and high absorption of pump laser make it a right crystal for pocket laser. Nd: YVO4 can produce IR green and blue laser by using minor different set-up. A broad absorption band centered at 808nm and favorable mechanical properties make Nd:YVO4 well suited for compact, efficient, high power diode-pumped lasers. Natural birefringence gives rise to a highly polarized output at 1064.3 and 1342nm.
