Intelligent low-voltage distribution combines transformer terminal, motorized breaker, residual-current breaker, energy meter, smart composite switch, self-healing/intelligent capacitor. Pole transformers/GGD distribution rooms: terminal-based GGD cabinet versus conventional GGD gives remote control/status/adjustment, compactness, and overload/short/leakage/temperature protection. PV: voltage/current/energy/harmonics, switching/protection, bypass diodes to prevent cell burn, return-combiner/DC-panel voltage/current/switches, and inverter voltage/current. Box substations.

Key Features

Problems addressed: 1. Frequent fault tripping: Install a residual-current-operated circuit breaker on the outgoing feeder, with fuses and surge arresters downstream. (1) Automatic reclosing after user-side leakage reduces outage duration. (2) Outgoing fuses isolate only the affected single-phase branch after a short circuit, reducing downtime and providing a visible isolation point for maintenance. (3) Surge arresters provide lightning protection. 2. Load monitoring and power allocation: Monitor incoming current and currents at outgoing residual-current breakers. (1) Adjust loads using outgoing-current data. (2) Determine transformer loading from total incoming current. 3. Reactive compensation and improved power factor: Fit compensation or harmonic-resistant capacitors according to transformer capacity. (1) Combine three-phase and individual-phase automatic compensation. (2) Use harmonic-resistant capacitors where harmonics occur. 4. Three-phase imbalance monitoring/adjustment: Monitor A/B/C currents at outgoing residual-current breakers. (1) Reconnect loads to balance phase loading. (2) Phase-change switches adjust single-phase loads and support carrier-controlled phase switching. 5. Unified distribution-box functions and construction: Standardization simplifies management, interchangeability, maintenance and expansion. 6. Distributed-generation/PV monitoring: Monitor incoming current and switch status and the components of PV systems. (1) Current and harmonic monitoring checks grid-connection compliance. (2) Monitor voltage/current at solar bypass diodes, combiner boxes, DC panels and inverters. 7. Optional magnetic filters and on-load voltage/capacity switches: Magnetic filters mitigate harmonics; on-load switches regulate voltage or capacity. Technical features: The intelligent distribution-transformer terminal incorporates: 1. Transformer monitoring terminal design; 2. Load-management terminal design; 3. Power-line carrier communication; 4. GPRS data communication; 5. Reactive compensation; 6. External magnetic filters for harmonic mitigation; 7. External on-load switches for voltage/capacity adjustment; 8. Phase-change switches for three-phase imbalance correction; 9. Acquisition and measurement of distributed-generation current and harmonic-component direction; 10. PV monitoring-system design. Distributed-generation/PV monitoring is rarely integrated with distribution networks and often lacks complete functions.
