Pockels cells are polarization modulators based on the Pockels effect. They are key components for intracavity Q-switching, pulse picking and regenerative amplification systems, and are also an effective means of modulating laser intensity, phase and frequency in laser processing and inspection equipment. The Moduoptik team has absorbed advanced international technology and developed innovative Pockels cells combining high repetition rates, low ringing, high damage thresholds and low loss. They are particularly suitable for high-frequency, high-energy laser systems. Stable, reliable structures, well-designed electrodes and effective thermal management substantially reduce external environmental effects, improve device reliability and reduce high-frequency signal transmission loss. Moduoptik has designed and developed DKDP, BBO, RTP and KTP series Pockels cells, with modulation frequencies from Hz to as high as 60 MHz and performance comparable to international equivalents. DKDP Pockels cells use the transverse or longitudinal electro-optic effect and cover wavelengths of 300-1300 nm. The required voltage for transverse Pockels cells can be kept below one hundred volts, while longitudinal Pockels cells have apertures up to 15 mm. BBO Pockels cells cover 250-1650 nm, with required voltages ranging from hundreds to thousands of volts. RTP Pockels cells cover 350-3500nm, with repetition rates reaching hundreds of kHz and apertures up to 10 mm. KTP Pockels cells use hydrothermally grown KTP to address the phenomenon of spot discoloration. We also offer Pockels cell accessories, including waveplates, polarizers and adjustment mounts, and can supply matching high-frequency, high-voltage drivers.
