A compact design using low-power, highly integrated, miniaturized SOA optical devices supports up to ten service amplification channels per board. It amplifies optical signals in the 1250nm–1350nm band, covering the 1300 nm window with bandwidth >60 nm. Low noise figure and fast gain response suit optical-network switching and signal processing. It offers simple construction, low power consumption, long life and low cost.
