Pentaprisms
A pentaprism is one of the fixed-angle (90°) beam steering devices. It has two uses: first, regardless of the angle of incidence on the first surface, the emerging light turns the incident light by a fixed angle (90°); second, unlike a right-angle prism, the image it forms has neither rotation nor mirror reflection. This prism is used in camera viewfinders, and the pentaprism is most suitable for image observation systems or measuring instruments.
