LC/FC/SC/ST Fiber Optic Adapter
A fiber optic adapter (also known as a flange), also called a fiber optic connector, is a component for detachable (active) connection between optical fibers. It is a component that precisely aligns the two endfaces of optical fibers so that the optical energy output by the transmitting fiber can be coupled into the receiving fiber to the maximum extent, and minimizes the impact on the system caused by its insertion into the optical link. To a certain extent, the fiber optic connector also affects the reliability and various performances of the optical transmission system.
