In 1981, the UK branch of PerkinElmer launched the world's first thermal desorption sampler (TD50) to support the environmental department's analysis of volatile organic compounds in air at that time. In 2005, to further improve the accuracy of the thermal desorption sampling system, PerkinElmer launched its newest TurboMatrix 650 ATD fully automatic thermal desorption sampler with electronic flow-controlled gas pathways and sample recovery function, thereby always maintaining PerkinElmer's leading position in thermal desorption sampling technology.

Key Features

The thermal desorber can be coupled with various models of gas chromatographs. The gas pathway adopts electronic flow control, enabling functions such as sample recovery and determination of sorbent tube packing quality. Fully electronic flow control; the mass flow meter precisely controls the flow rate, unaffected by changes in temperature and pressure. Samples can be recovered and re-analyzed by different methods or used for confirmatory experiments. It features testing of the packing quality of sorbent tubes and cold trap adsorbents. It adopts a graphically designed touch color screen control interface with full Chinese display. It uses electronic cooling and a two-stage thermal desorption process to ensure narrow chromatographic peak shapes.
