Fiber Optic Patch Cords and Pigtails
A fiber optic connector (commonly called a patch cord) is a length of fiber optic cable with connectors fixed at both ends to achieve active connection of the optical path. A pigtail is a fiber optic cable with only one connector fixed at one end. If the two sides of the connector or their end faces are different, we call it a hybrid patch cord. According to the transmission medium, it is divided into single-mode and multi-mode; according to the connector structure type, it is divided into FC, SC, ST, MU, D4, E2000; according to the different polishing of the ceramic end face, it is divided into PC, UPC and APC.
