Overview
Non-contact ultra-low-loss LC connectors are a new generation of optical interconnection solutions; industry standard LC interfaces are combined with self-developed non-contact optical coupling techniques. The connector is designed for applications that require both excellent optical performance and long-term reliability; achieves extremely low penetration losses; and effectively avoids physical contact between the fiber-optic end. Unlike traditional LC connectors; the latter are prone to end-line wear, scratch, contamination during repeated extraction; and cause gradual deterioration of performance; rather than contact-type ultra-low-depletion LC connectors maintain controlled non-contact optical interfaces throughout their use. This innovative design effectively protects the fiber-optic end-end from mechanical damage; significantly prolongs the service life of connectors; and reduces maintenance needs
