Ti:Sapphire Crystal
Titanium sapphire (titanium-doped sapphire, Al2O3:Ti3+) has a broad emission band from 660 to 1050 nm, with the absorption band centered at 490 nm and distributed between 400~650 nm, suitable for pumping by argon-ion, frequency-doubled Nd:YAG (Nd-YLF) and copper vapor lasers; with a fluorescence lifetime of 3.2 μs, it can be effectively used as the working material of high-power flashlamp-pumped laser systems.
