Partial Reflector
In optical systems, it is often necessary to split a beam from a single light source into two paths. A common method is to use a partial reflector: after passing through the partial reflector, part of the light is transmitted (with transmittance T) and part is reflected (with reflectance R). One beam serves as the reference light and the other as the test light, and T/R is the splitting ratio. The company mainly produces thin films fabricated with HfO₂/SiO₂ combination processes featuring high damage thresholds. In addition, in some cases thin-film components used at oblique incidence are required to minimize the difference between the P-polarization and S-polarization components; for such requirements, please refer to the company's content on non-polarizing mirrors.
