Surface Reflection Prism
Surface-reflective prisms; surface-reflective prisms (optical path same as corner cube prisms; advantages compared with corner cube prisms: incident light will be reflected back; hollow structure, light weight; no material absorption or chromatic aberration); are corner cube prisms composed of three reflective surfaces coated on external surfaces. This product uses a hollow structure with reduced weight, and is therefore insensitive to position and vibration, so incident parallel light is reflected back with extremely high precision regardless of its angle of incidence. Because the optical path is in air, this configuration avoids the material absorption and chromatic aberration present in solid glass retroreflectors. The rear panel of the larger-area housing has various mounting holes. Under full illumination of the retroreflector, the beam deviation value of each hollow retroreflector is the maximum parallelism difference of any reflected beam emerging from any 6 sub-apertures. Under full illumination, the outgoing wavefront is the peak-to-valley wavefront deformation, listed in λ expressions (λ = 633nm). Hollow retroreflectors use a uniquely patented cushioned packaging design, thereby improving their shock resistance.
