A polarizing beamsplitter prism is made by cementing a pair of high-precision right-angle prisms, with a polarizing beamsplitter dielectric coating on the hypotenuse of one prism. It splits incident unpolarized light into two linearly polarized beams with different polarization directions: the P-polarized light passes through completely, while the S-polarized light is reflected at a 45° angle, exiting at 90° to the P beam. It also features low stress, high extinction ratio, good imaging quality, and small beam deviation angle, with high optical performance and stability, and is widely used in various fields.
