BDL-CW1000 1000W High Power Semiconductor Laser
The BWT BDL-CW1000 1000W high power semiconductor laser offers higher electro-optical conversion efficiency, lower power consumption, a more compact structure and easier operation compared with traditional lasers. Thanks to its flexible fiber-delivered laser output, it can be conveniently integrated into various system equipment. It is widely used in metal welding, industrial cladding, quenching, material processing, laser research and other fields. Note: Back-reflected light can affect the performance and lifetime of high power semiconductor lasers; the output laser should be used at an angle of 8°-10° deviating from the vertical direction of the worktable.

In short haul metro links, the high power of the JDSU CQF938 eliminates the need for additional amplifiers. The CQF938 high power 1550 nm continuous wave (CW) distributed feedback (DFB) laser is available in a standard 14-pin butterfly package equipped with a polarization maintaining fiber (PMF) to facilitate coupling to a modulator. It shows superb thermal stability, high side-mode suppression ratios (SMSR), very low relative intensity noise (RIN), and small linewidths. The modulation bandwidth is in excess of 1 GHz, and permits various techniques for stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) suppression. SBS is a detrimental effect that can occur at very high power levels into the fiber, and which leads to noise bursts.

The 1782 laser component is characterized for use as a CW optical source in CATV and DWDM networks. The 1782 is dc-coupled with a built-in TEC, thermistor, and monitor photodiode. The device is mounted in a 14-pin, OC-48 pinout compatible butterfly package with the optical isolator mounted on the TEC. The 1782 incorporates a high efficiency coupling scheme to deliver 40 mW, 50 mW, 63 mW and 100 mW of CW optical power.
