This is a family of precision-machined optomechanical mounting blocks used to fix and align miniature fiber optic components such as collimators, fiber arrays and ferrules. The blocks are made of aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish to suppress stray-light reflection and improve wear resistance. The series includes several configurations: blocks with circular counterbored holes and top set screws for locking cylindrical collimator tubes, blocks with rectangular slots, and blocks fitted with square metal sleeves (stainless steel / nickel-plated) for receiving MT-type ferrules or fiber array endcaps. The flat square base provides a stable reference surface for adhesive bonding or screw mounting onto optical sub-assemblies, making these blocks ideal for compact photonic module packaging.

Santec's Unidirectional Tap-Integrated Photo Detector (IPD-UD) is an optical power monitoring device consisting of individual tap-integrated photo detectors. The Santec PDA is an optical power monitoring device consisting of terminating photodetectors integrated with fiber inputs. It is very compact and easily mounted on a PCB for system use, providing a simple and low-cost solution for power monitoring in DWDM and amplifier systems. Qualified to GR-468-CORE for high reliability, the PDA series is available in 1, 4, 8, and 10-channel versions with flexible connector options (FC, SC, MU, LC in SPC or APC polish) and pin assignments (2-pin PD, anode common, cathode common, or separate pins), covering the 1510~1610nm wavelength range for telecom and optical communication applications.
