One-code-per-item complete solution basic version
The basic one-code-per-item solution handles coding and association across primary, secondary and tertiary packaging. 1. Primary-code printing: filled inner packages are placed on the conveyor, where a high-resolution printing system marks each package, such as a medicine carton, online. 2. Primary-code scanning and rejection: a fixed scanning station collects the codes as packages move forward, rejects defective packages and queues readable packages according to the packaging ratio. The system records accepted primary codes. 3. Secondary-code printing and labeling: a counting and diverting device groups accepted small packages according to the packaging ratio for intermediate packaging. The system associates the collected primary codes with the packaging relationship and generates a secondary code. A first-station operator applies the barcode-printer label online. 4. Secondary-code scanning and tertiary-code generation: the first-station operator scans secondary codes with a handheld scanner. The system saves correct data and displays confirmation; errors trigger an alarm, and unreadable products are removed before the next group is scanned. Correctly scanned intermediate packages move to the case-packing station according to the packaging relationship. 5. Tertiary-code printing, labeling and inspection: the system associates secondary codes and generates a tertiary code. A second-station operator places printed labels on both the outside and inside of the outer carton, with the internal code serving as a backup if the external regulatory code is damaged during transport or storage. A handheld scanner checks the tertiary pharmaceutical regulatory code. Unreadable codes trigger an alarm and are handled by reprinting and applying the same label. Readable products are packed, sealed and bundled according to their packaging associations, completing coding and association.
