(FBG) Fiber Bragg Grating
A fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is a passive filtering device. UV exposure writes the coherent-field pattern of incident light into the core of photosensitive fiber, creating a periodic axial variation in refractive index and thus a permanent spatial phase grating. It effectively forms a narrowband transmission/reflection filter or mirror in the core. When broadband light passes through the FBG, wavelengths satisfying the Bragg condition are reflected, while the remaining wavelengths continue through the fiber. Examples: FBG-1080-995-30-D17-1.2/1.2-HR; FBG-1080-100-10-D17-1.2/1.2-OC.
