8.5G XFP Optical Module VXF(D)-8G3ERD
Visint XFP optical transceivers fully comply with version 4.5 of the XFP MSA standard and consume less than 3.5W. The XFP modules operate at 8.5Gbps to 11.3Gbps and support Sonet/SDH, 10G Ethernet, Fibre Channel and G.707 OTN standards. On the transmit side, XFP 10G modules use highly reliable lasers, PIN or APD receiver devices, laser drivers and associated circuitry. The receive side uses an avalanche photodiode (APD) or PIN ROSA with associated circuitry. A clock and data recovery circuit (CDR) is also included. XFP 10G provides digital diagnostics, also known as digital optical monitoring (DDM), to monitor optical output power, optical input power, temperature, laser bias current and transceiver supply voltage in real time. IEC 60825-1 Class 1/CDRH Class 1 laser eye safe. Complies with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive. Suitable for switches, routers, firewalls and other equipment, with broad use in telecommunications, data centers, security and military applications.

The metal case protects against electromagnetic interference.
