Picosecond Fiber Series-Pulse-Width-Adjustable Subnanosecond Near-Infrared Fiber Seed Source
The fiber-series adjustable-pulse-width subnanosecond near-infrared seed source uses gain switching. A narrow-spectrum laser diode is driven by a high-speed current-pulse circuit with 1ps resolution, allowing pulse-width tuning from 100ps to 100ns. A narrowband multistage low-noise single-mode fiber amplifier with interstage filtering raises pulse energy above 10nJ while maintaining spectral width below 0.3nm.
