WS-1 standard diffuse reflectance reference white tile
The Ocean Optics WS-1 standard diffuse reflectance reference white tile is made of PTFE. PTFE is a diffuse reflective plastic white adhesive with an ideal Lambertian surface that can be used as a standard reference for reflection experiments. Because PTFE can be fabricated very precisely and can be processed into an amorphous structure, the reference tile has a reflectivity greater than 98% for 400-1500 nm, and greater than 95% for 250-2000 nm. The WS-1 has very good long-term stability, even in the UV region, and at the same time is not easily wetted by water and is chemically inactive. The WS-1 has an anodized aluminum container (the WS-1-SS has a stainless steel container). The reflective area of the WS-1 is 32 mm OD. The diffuse reflective material is mounted in a small container, the top of the container is fixed with screws, and its reflectivity for 250-2000 nm is greater than 95%. The Ocean Optics WS-3-GEM is made of the diffuse reflective material PTFE, and the interior of its stainless steel container is made concave, which makes the WS-3-GEM become an integrating sphere when light shines on it. The WS-3-GEM has a reflectivity greater than 98% for 400-1500 nm and greater than 95% for 250-2000 nm. Similar to the WS-1, the reflective material of the WS-3-GEM is not easily wetted by water, is chemically inactive, and has very good long-term stability, even in the UV region.
