FIA-PMT-FL Fluorescence Flow Injection Analysis System
FIA-PMT-FL is a highly sensitive ppt-level flow injection analysis system based on a photomultiplier tube, suitable for the measurement of ultra-low fluorescence, chemiluminescence, and bioluminescence. The system's heavy-duty, chemically resistant protective housing is designed to withstand industrial environments.; FIA-PMT-FL has on-line analysis capability, but manual measurement can also be performed using a standard 1-cm pathlength cuvette.; System Configuration; The FIA-PMT can use an internal excitation lamp or an external lamp connected via optical fiber. External light sources can be selected from tungsten lamps, mercury lamps, LEDs, and laser diodes. The excitation/emission filters are mounted in slots for easy removal and replacement. The system uses an internal 25 μm flow cell.; Excitation Power Supply Selection; System Operation; The system includes Windows-based software that can set integration time and voltage, and can also display historical measurement data in graphical and tabular form. The software can automatically generate calibration curves, and can also control auxiliary devices, such as: FIAlab's FIA/SIA system, syringe and peristaltic pumps, injection valves, selector valves, and autosamplers. Users can also use their own software to control the PMT-FL, including Visual Basic, VC++, and LabVIEW using ActiveX controls, as well as all ActiveX-compatible programming environments.; Typical Applications; Ammonium fluorescence test: ultra-trace brightness assay analysis, sensitivity at the ppb level.; F4551: Measurement of hydrolyzed fluorescein in b-D-glucuronide, used to detect the dynamics of β-glucuronidase and the release of lysozyme from neutrophils.; M8639: 2'-(4-Methylumbelliferyl)-a-D-N-acetylneuraminic acid sodium salt hydrate, an assay for neuraminidase.; L9009: North American firefly luciferase, this enzyme reacts with luciferin, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and oxygen to cause bioluminescence. Therefore, luciferase can be used to measure ATP content.; GUS-A: b-glucuronidase fluorescence activity detection, substrate is MU-GlcA (4-methylumbelliferyl b-Dglucuronide), a substrate widely used for glucuronidase activity detection.; Specifications
