A tube lens assembly, also known as a tube lens or sleeve lens, is the core optical component of a microscope with an infinity-corrected optical system. It precisely converges the parallel light emerging from the objective and forms a clear real image, effectively correcting aberrations and precisely regulating the system magnification, while reserving standard optical path space for optical accessories such as fluorescence, phase contrast, and DIC.
