Collimating lens
A collimating lens is an optical element specifically used to convert diverging or converging light into parallel light. Its core function is to “regularize the direction of the optical path” — whether it is diverging light emitted by a point light source or converging light originating from a focal point, after passing through a collimating lens it can form parallel light. It is a key component for “controlling optical path precision” in fields such as laser technology, spectral analysis, and optical inspection. The goal of the collimating lens is to “eliminate the diverging / converging characteristics of light”, and its principle is based on the focal length characteristics of the lens. Collimating lenses have the following types: single-lens collimating lens, multi-lens group collimating lens, infrared collimating lens, etc.
