Dichroic mirror
A dichroic mirror is an optical element with multilayer coating used for wavelength-selective reflection and transmission, which can effectively separate or combine light beams of different bands. Based on the principle of thin-film interference, the dichroic mirror reflects a specific wavelength (e.g., laser lines, fluorescence spectra) with a reflectivity greater than 99%, and transmits other wavelengths with a transmittance greater than 99%. Dichroic mirrors are widely used in laser beam combining systems, fluorescence microscopes (separating excitation light and emission light), medical spectrometers and color projection optical paths, and feature a high damage threshold and low energy loss.
