Roof prism
A roof prism is a prism with two mutually perpendicular reflecting surfaces (roof surfaces). It is compact and can align the objective lens and eyepiece along a straight line. It is commonly used in compact binoculars. Its roof surface structure gives it unique optical characteristics during light reflection, thereby enabling specific imaging adjustments in optical systems.; Without changing the direction of the optical axis and the imaging direction of the principal section, the roof prism adds one more reflection, making total internal reflection uniform and achieving image-object similarity.
