High-Precision Optical Glass Pentaprism
The penta prism has a pentagonal cross-section, containing two reflective surfaces (usually silver or aluminum coated) and three transmissive surfaces. The angle between the entrance and exit surfaces is 90°, and the angle between the reflective surfaces is 45°. Its design aims to deflect light at a constant 90° angle, unaffected by prism rotation or alignment errors, and the geometry ensures high-precision beam steering.
