Light Guide Rod
A light guide rod, also called a light pipe or light homogenizer, is a high-performance optical element used to transmit, homogenize and redistribute light energy. It is usually made of optical glass or fused silica with high optical homogeneity, with a cross-section that can be designed as circular, rectangular or square, and surfaces that are precision-polished and usually coated with high-reflection films.
