Radiation-Resistant Glass
Radiation-resistant glass refers to special optical glass whose transmittance decreases very little and which does not discolor significantly under the irradiation of high-dose excitation photons and particles; it is also called stabilized glass. This type of glass is generally made by adding CeO2 to the formula of ordinary optical glass. Therefore, they generally have the same optical constants as the corresponding ordinary optical glass, and their grade number is formed by adding 500 to the corresponding ordinary optical glass grade number; for example, the radiation-resistant glass corresponding to K9 glass is K509.
