Barium Fluoride Crystal
BaF2: barium fluoride (BaF2) crystal belongs to the cubic crystal system with good moisture resistance and a melting point of 1280℃. Its refractive index changes little over a wide wavelength range, and its transmission range is wide, with a maximum transmittance of over 90% in the wavelength range from 0.2μm to 10μm, offering good optical and mechanical properties. BaF2 crystal has excellent scintillation performance (the barium fluoride scintillation crystal has a fast component with a decay time of 0.6ns and an emission peak wavelength of 220nm, making it the fastest-decaying scintillation crystal discovered to date), and has broad application prospects in high-energy physics, nuclear physics, nuclear medicine and other fields.
