fiber coating machine with tension test
Thorlabs' Vytran fiber recoater with integrated proof tester is used to coat and test spliced fiber. The coating process restores the buffer coating to stripped fiber, providing greater flexibility than heat-shrink protection sleeves, allowing normal handling and coiling without damaging the spliced section of the fiber.
