250-HI-8 Double-Clad Ytterbium-Doped Fiber
The Coherent/Nufern YDF-30/250-HI-8 high-absorption large mode area double-clad ytterbium-doped fiber is based on the 8th generation (Gen. VIII) glass composition technology. Compared with YDF-30/250VIII fiber, it has higher absorption and is an ideal fiber specially designed for short-pulse fiber amplifiers. In such applications, fiber length is a critical factor, and the high absorption of this fiber ensures that users can use the shortest possible fiber length without sacrificing conversion efficiency to achieve short-pulse fiber amplification.
